The City of Willcox will receive sealed bids on a general contract for Purchase and installation of a bulk water fill station. Questions & Answers Question: Under specification #2 referring to internal ‘member cards’, Does a card have to be used, or would a cardless access using a City of Willcox employee and/or truck PIN number assigned, be acceptable? Answer: Yes. A paper receipt would still be required.
Question: Will there be a bid bond for the project? Answer: Not required
Question: Who will setup and install the Cellular or land line communication? Does the city of Wilcox have an IT person? Answer:This will be the responsibility of the supplier. ( If a landline is chosen, the C.O.W. will provide the lines to site)
Question: Has the City of Willcox selected the sight for installation? If so can we review the sight. Answer: I-10 to 340 exit, West ½ mile to 1st drive West of Brewers Truck Repair. Left at drive. The waterfill station will be installed at N/E corner of police impound yard.
Question: What is the pressure of the distribution in the location. This will be helpful to determine the type of electrical valve needed to open and close the water to the ATM station Answer: 65 to 75 PSI
Question: Will the City of Willcox connect the water line to the ATM, Or the supplier will? Answer: The C.O.W. will install a 3” Male thread nipple water supply, drain, 100 amp electric service, and ( if required ) telephone lines, as well as the concrete slab, per the working drawings provided by the supplier. The supplier will make all installation connections.
Question: Section 8 of the specification calls for a 2” and ¾” discharge that is selected by the user via a ball valve(s). Section 9 has an overhead 3” discharge specified. Do you want to have the ability to fill up at the 2” (3/4”) and the 3” at the same time or can only one person fill up at a time at any of the hoses? Answer: The intent was to have the versatility to choose any of the three fill points, one at a time. I suppose that any combination, including all three could be accessed at once if manifolded properly. Only one ‘customer’ at a time.
